HomeBlogScholarship List: #ScoresOpenDoors to Money for College

Scholarships make higher education more affordable. These financial awards are granted by colleges, organizations, and private institutions to help students pay for tuition, room and board, books, study abroad, and other expenses. Best of all, scholarships don’t have to be repaid, making them an invaluable resource for families looking to ease the financial burden of college.

One of the most effective ways to increase your chances of earning scholarships is by earning competitive ACT & ACT scores.  Many scholarship programs use these scores as a key factor in determining eligibility and award amounts. Strong test scores demonstrate your academic abilities, making you a competitive candidate for merit-based scholarships offered by colleges and external organizations alike. Some colleges use test scores to evaluate applicants for prestigious awards that can cover full tuition or more.

Because there are so many awards out there, searching for scholarships can seem overwhelming. Click here for tips on making the process less stressful.  Watch this video to get advice from one of our APlus scholars who earned a full scholarship to NC A&T State University! #AggiePride
