- Class Materials: Make sure that you bring textbooks, notebooks, and homework for the classes for which you’ll be receiving tutoring. These materials will allow us to understand where you are in the curriculum and what areas need additional focus.
- Past Tests & Quizzes: Being able to see your past tests, assignments, and quizzes gives us a lot of insight into your strengths and weaknesses and will help us tailor our lessons to your specific needs.
- Questions & Challenges: Coming to the tutor center is a step toward taking your education into your own hands, and you can take that even further by taking a little time to do some self-reflection. What problems have you noticed give you the most trouble? How do you like to study? This information will inform our plan for tackling those struggles.
- A Positive Attitude & an Open Mind: Learning is a collaborative process, so make sure your first visit to the tutor center ready to engage. Be ready to discuss your goals for the session and the future and be willing to ask and answer questions.
