The Re-designed PSAT–test content, timing, and sample questions
The 2017 PSAT is either October 11 or October 14 (check with your school). Here is the breakdown of the test content and timing:
- Critical Reading–60 minutes–47 questions
- Writing and Language–35 minutes–44 questions
- Math (no calculator allowed)–25 minutes–17 questions (multiple-choice & student-produced)
- Math (calculator allowed)–45 minutes–31 questions (multiple-choice & student-produced)
Take a look at sample questions to become more familiar with the re-designed test. Remember that juniors should take the PSAT to enter the National Merit Scholarship competition; freshmen and sophomores should take it for valuable official practice and insight into the redesigned SAT.
